A Baker's Dozen 1

One of my favorite pieces of the week was Francis Scudellari’s historical what was lost (the warmth in their hands) at Caught in the Stream. That piece gave the first four words tissue, sharp, cheap, and squeeze. Replenish, creep, steal, and quenching came from Elizabeth’s sevenling (ever-burning fire) . In my opinion, this was the top sevenling of the week. If you haven’t checked out Soul’s Music, do so. One of my favorite blogs is crankymango, as much for the poetry as for lucychili’s artwork. Go, take a rummage through her work and words. From her piece, harmony, I lifted pinwheels, tattoos, piquant, and diminished. When I got all the words together, I wanted to add another “eee” word, thence came eternal for a baker’s dozen.

Thank you for the time you spend with words. We all benefit. Happy Wordling!

Phew. My first "wordle" attempt. Yowzers! Gloria's right...a challenge, indeed.

(not sure if there's a way to make this an active link or not...but here's the URL to copy/paste...)

Now I'll go read yours!

Hi Paula, I'm not sure how to make this an active link, either. If anyone has the html code, and wouldn't mind giving a quick lesson, it would be appreciated! I can add the mini-lesson to the Sunday posts for awhile until we get used to it. :) Thanks!

BTW, I love both of your pieces!

Brenda -
I saw that you also found the "code" to use...I found it in someone's Writer's Island post. So I tried it elsewhere and thought I'd try it here next time! I think that will work nicely. And yes...it'll take some practice but I it should be easy enough to remember! :)

Thanks again for giving us this great prompt!

This comment from Francis showed up in my email, but not here? Hmmmm... don't know how that happened.
From Francis:

Here's mine: He wastes away with its wanting
.
Blogger comments will let you add basic html, so to make a live link you just need to wrap an "anchor tag" around the name of your poem. I'll try to type the format for it here, but Blogger wants to embed the code, so I have to doctor it a little. Just ignore the asterisks (*) I've typed in below.

First you put in the following "<*a href=", then you add the URL of the post wrapped in quotation marks, then you need to add another ">", then the text you want to use for the link, and finally the closing tag "<*/a*>".

Thanks Francis...I'm not sure why this came in my email and didn't show up here.
